NACD-NJ to Present “The Generational Disruption of Corporate America – Its Impact on Leadership and Governance”
New Jersey — August 1, 2015 — NACD New Jersey Chapter has announced that the nation’s leading presenter of generational dynamics, Chuck Underwood, will kick-off the fall season on October 21, 2015 in Florham Park, NJ. Titled “The Generational Disruption of Corporate America,” this program will drill down into the impact of Generational Dynamics on leadership and governance, including:
-Why did America’s executive ethics derail so badly during the leadership era of the Silent Generation in the 1990s and 2000s?
-Why is there such promise and hope as the Boomers begin their turn at the top?
-What unique core values do GenX and Millennials bring to leadership and governance as they advance?
Mr. Underwood has partnered with NACD, nationally, to raise awareness of this generational disruption, which creates unique opportunities and challenges that no company can avoid. His clients cut across all industries and include Macy’s, Coca Cola, Procter & Gamble, Campbell’s Soup, Time Warner Cable, State Farm, and Edward Jones. His celebrated TV series on PBS, America’s Generations with Chuck Underwood, is the first presentation of its kind. His book, The Generational Imperative, is the most comprehensive presentation of generational business strategies.
This is a special meeting of the NACD NJ chapter open to directors, officers, business owners, and senior executives. For nonmembers who currently serve on a board—or who aspire to a board position in the future—this is a rare opportunity to experience the value of NACD programs. Early registrants will receive a signed copy of The Generational Imperative.
NACD-NJ has developed a series of educational programs throughout New Jersey for the 2015/2016 season on such topics as Proxy Access, FCPA, CEO Succession Planning, Cyber Risk, Strategy for Small ad Mid Cap Companies, Shareholder Activists, Diversity, and Social Media.
