Appoints Tanuja Dehne and Ellen McSherry To Its Board
March 28, 2019 – New Jersey— The New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD NJ), the authority on boardroom practices, today announced Tanuja Dehne and Ellen McSherry have been elected to the Chapter’s board of directors.
Tanuja Dehne, of Princeton Junction, is a public company director and former C-level executive of NRG Energy, Inc., a Fortune 250 power company. Currently, Tanuja is a member of the boards of directors of publicly traded Granite Point Mortgage Trust Inc. where she serves as chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and Advanced Disposal Services, where she serves as chair of the Compensation Committee. She has served on the boards of various corporations for nearly 10 years and is a recognized corporate governance expert.
Dehne devotes considerable time to community and philanthropic activities, serving on the boards of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, Sustainable Jersey, and as Chair of Young Audiences of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. She also serves on the Board of the Forum of Executive Women in Philadelphia.
Ellen McSherry of Hoboken is the Chief Operating Officer, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and an NACD Certified Board Leadership Fellow. She serves on the Boards of the Montclair State University Foundation and Executive Women of New Jersey. McSherry is an ex-officio member of the NJCPA Board of Trustees and sits on its Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Volunteer Relations, and Retirement Savings Committees and liaises to its Council of Past Presidents. She was honored as a recipient of the SmartCEO NJ Brava Award and by the Executive Women of NJ as a Salute to the Policy Makers recipient and by the NJCPA as a Woman of Note.
